FABRIC Free Trade Area of the Americas Poster

60" x 30"

The Free Trade Area of the Americas (FTAA), an international initiative similar to the infamous North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA), aimed to eliminate the remaining barriers to the free flow of money, goods, and services across borders in the Western Hemisphere, excluding Cuba, in an attempt to create ONE huge, integrated web of “open markets.” This graphic representation of the FTAA, created in 2001 as the first poster in the Beehive's anti-globalization trilogy, illustrates the consequences of corporate globalization networks and exposes threats to the well-being of all forms of life throughout the Americas.

Each poster comes with a short narrative describing the process, themes, and history of the artwork in the poster. The narratives are available in 4 languages: English, Spanish, French, and German. Please select which narrative language you would like with your order.
